It's That Time of Year!

So, the Christmas season is already upon us.  Halloween is wound down for another year and the decorations are being put away.  Since we're in Canada, we even have Thanksgiving celebrated and all gratefully put to bed.  There's a break of only a few weeks before The Toronto Santa Claus Parade and the Metcalf's Christmas Tree Day.  That's the day that Christmas officially begins in our house.  It's slightly more than a month before the big day and oh so much fun!  After that, this year we'll be attending The Santa Claus Parade of Lights in Olds.  It's the closest Christmas parade to us, since Airdrie has yet to have a Santa Claus parade in the three years we've lived here.  I'm very excited to have found a parade so close and I'm even more excited that it's an evening parade, so it'll have the extra special magic of Christmas lights to go with it!!!!

This Saturday, to kick off the holiday happenings, The Airdrie Farmer's Market is having their first Christmas Show.  Admission is a donation to the food bank or $2 per family.  I can't wait to see all the wonderful Christmas things and hopefully find a few little Christmas present gems.

Of course, starting December 1st is the annual Airdrie Festival of Lights.  It's a month long, beautiful Christmas staple for the community!  There's always something fun for the kids, entertainment, train rides, and lots more.  We go every year, usually more than once!

The only thing I'm still patiently waiting for is The CBC Holiday Guide.  I'm always ready for it a few weeks before it's ready for me.  So, I'll just keep checking and I know that soon, my favourite television Christmas movie/specials schedule will be ready.

My Christmas wish for you is that you will have a wonderful, happy time, regardless of what's going on in your life.  Life happens, but how we choose to accept the goods things is what makes it beautiful.  How we choose Happiness is what makes it good. Christmas and all the holidays in the season are meant for us to really See!  I hope you have a moving experience this season :)
