The Tent Trailer Project

Adam and I have invested (very, very minimally I might add) in a 1975 Starcraft Tent Trailer.  It has quite a few holes in the canvas, no curtains, no foam/cushions, and a broken roof vent.  It does have working appliances, including a working furnace; which we found out a couple years ago, is ubber necessary when camping in Alberta.

This weekend is going to be out first to really work on our little family project.  Adam's going to tackling cleaning the canvas, then I'll patch it, while he cleans all the storage areas.  We've found a lot of things second hand, like thick patio cushions and thinner couch cushions. Oh and Adam was able to buy a futon mattress off a friend for really cheap, for one of the beds.

She's definitely going to be a labour of love, but I think it'll be a lot of fun.  I even pulled out a few super old sheets that I can make into curtains.  The only thing we bought new was the roof vent and of course, the port-a-potty we're picking up will also be new... Because?  Well it just has to be and that's all I'm going to say on that.

I'll keep you posted on the goings on of the Tent Trailer Project...maybe I'll be able to wrangle some pics too.  I'm very excited!  I love projects and putting a little bit of elbow grease into the trailer is just what the family needs to get this summer swinging into a whole lot of family fun!!!
